And this story continues for the residents of the Langdon, Brookland, Woodridge community. On Hamlin Street, on the southside of RIA Ave NE, this evening, a resident was assaulted and robbed in front of their house while walking their dog.

According to messages we received from neighbors on Hamlin:

“…`our neighbor on the south side of Hamlin, it was a robbery of him walking his dog, right in front of their house. He apparently got hit in the lower body, didn’t hear if its critical.”

This is just over a week after Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie’s “Kenyan in the Community” event which seemed in response to the recent shootings and violence in the area.
