The Avenue has had a lot of great news this year that included several new restaurants either opening or announced (Bespoke Kitchen, Sala Thai, etc), a coffee shop/roaster (Zekes), and the Avenue’s participation in the City’s Main Street Program. And the good news keeps on coming.
Larry Carroll, a local resident and fitness trainer, has announced the soon-to-be KAAOS Gym and Athletic Training Center at 2304 Rhode Island Avenue (if the address sounds familiar, it should. It is next door to Zekes Coffee). Renovations are still underway at this location.
KAAOS will be offering a variety of fitness training options including Personal training, Warrior Boot Camps and Sport Specific Training. KAAOS will also be offering athlete testing and nutrition services.
The owner, Larry D. Carroll, Sr., a life-long athlete, has over 20 years experience in the fitness arena, including his personal training business, Larry’s World of Fitness. Carroll is a member of the American Council on Exercise, Training for Warriors and is an IGNITE 360 certified trainer. Carroll has trained individuals from the beginner fitness enthusiast to elite athletes performing in football, tennis, martial arts, marathon running, and triathlons.
Carroll will have a booth during FoRIA’s Fall Fest this Saturday, October 5 in front of his new location to provide information and answer any questions. A grand opening for KAAOS will be announced soon.
