  1. Don’t forget the Thanksgiving Dinner Saint Francis De Sales Church provides free each year in the School Hall! It will take place this Thursday, November 24. They have posted the event on utililty poles up and down RIA. And, a big banner is right in front of the church. Saint Francis has been providing this event for decades and it’s open to everyone. Unfortunately, they don’t advertise their events as much as Saint Anthony’s in Brookland. They also had a pretty nice annual flea market in October. Every Sunday from 2pm to 4pm they have an Adult Computer Workshop.

  2. The Woodridge Library is also having its twice yearly book sale all day on December 3rd. You might also want to stop by and support the Library. This event is conducted by the Friends of Woodridge Library group. I think these two events occurred last year at about the same time. This completes the first year that Art Enables has occupied that location. There might be some other events going on RIA/Rt. 1 in Mt. Rainier, Brentwood, Hyattsville, etc. that are arts related and where one can aalso pick up holiday gift items.

  3. Mount Rainier’s 17th Annual Community Craft Sale, Saturday, December 3, 10am – 4pm

Handmade gifts by almost 40 local artists and community crafters

Buy locally and check out what your neighbors made in their studios and living rooms!

    Lunch and baked goods available

    Saturday, December 3, 10am – 4pm

    at Joe’s Movement Emporium

3309 Bunker Hill Road (just off 34th Street, Mount Rainier, 20712
