Some long awaited businesses at Rhode Island Row are finally seeing the finish line to open their doors for business. Chipotle was schedule to open recently but their date has moved to Aug 20 (originally suppose to be July 31) and news of Carolina Kitchen has been on the community’s minds for quite a while now since we first learned of their intent over a year ago. The latest is that they are aiming for a November opening, in time for Thanksgiving. Construction has already begun so this is more of a realistic time frame instead of “keep our fingers crossed” kind of date. So what else are we waiting on or is new to the slate of businesses at the Row?
Of course, we all know and are excited about Sala Thai coming to the Avenue with an anticipated September opening. Another anticipated September opening will be Arte Nail and Spa Salon.
Another leased space is going to Jersey Mike’s , which will be the sub shop’s first entry into DC. Although this is a national chain with hundreds of locations, they currently have four franchises in the metro area. Their menu boasts cold and hot subs, wraps, and a kid’s menu. This could be a better break than a typical Subway.
Rhode Island Row is in talks to finalize three more leases, which we will let everyone know about once they have finalized the deals, but in the meantime, it looks like we will have some new places to try out this fall!
Great to hear. I’m excited about ’em all, especially Sala Thai. Thanks for the updates, and keep ’em coming!
