Costco and Target coming to the area

That’s right! According to the Washington Business Journal article Costco is moving forward with plans to build a store at the corner of New York Ave and South Dakota Ave NE.

It isn’t on Rhode Island Ave NE, but the commercial development is ideal to promote better and bigger development near all of us!

I think this is good news, but let’s see if Target will follow them up here!

Hey, off topic, but have you noticed the for sale sign on the corner of monroe and RI? Do you have any info on that? Its a big piece of property…

Those who read this blog will want to attend the following event. I just contacted Council Thomas’ office about it. I was told this Fort Lincoln project with Costco, The Cafritz project at Fort Totten and South Dakota, and the Dance Place Project/Artist Housing Development on 8th Street will be featured with massive details. I’ve attended this event in the past and it’s worth attending.
